Under fir and cedar, moss grows on almost every north-facing roof here. It lifts shingle edges, holds water against the deck and clogs gutters until they overflow.
We remove it by hand without pressure washing, treat the roof, clear the gutters and note anything that needs repair while we are up there.
A yearly visit costs far less than a roof replaced ten years early. We send a reminder each autumn if you want one.
What we check
- Moss and debris on every slope
- Lifted or brittle shingle edges
- Granule loss in the gutters
- Flashing and pipe boots
- Gutters and downspouts flowing
Text a photo of the problem to (253) 555-0148 and we will tell you what we see.
Questions
Do you pressure wash roofs?
No. Pressure washing strips granules and shortens the life of the roof. We clear moss by hand and treat it.
How often should moss be cleared?
Most roofs under trees here need a look every year or two. We tell you what yours needs after the first visit.
Is my roof too far gone for maintenance?
Sometimes it is. We say so with photos, and you decide.
